Amber waves of grain ....

A few weeks ago, I drove through rural central Kansas ... to go visit some friends. Living in Salina ... well, I never considered it "the big city." It's certainly bigger than anywhere I've lived in the last 10 years, but it's not small-town either.

So, driving along the backroads of Kansas ... driving faster than both my husband ant mother would be comfortable with ... but it was almost like I had wings. Driving along the backroads was absolutely freeing. :) Anyone out there know what I'm talking about?
