Beer shower

This post is also a LONG time overdue. In fact, it happened on my birthday last year whilst photographing Shauna + James' wedding.

Well, there was a keg stand during the wedding. Believe it or not, until that point, I'd NEVER seen a keg stand. Yes, I DID go to college, but I'd never seen one. Maybe I missed something in college?

As a matter of fact, I'd seen plenty of beer bong photos, but again, no keg stand photos. SO, I'm sidetracked. At the wedding, there was a keg stand. So Mike takes the first shift at the bottom, taking photos of the person doing the kegging. For the second person, who was the bride's brother, I hopped at the chance to be at the foot of the keg.

Well .... there was a pause.

Then this face ...

Then an even BETTER face ...

And OUT IT CAME.

All over my brand spankin' new 5D camera + me. :(

Mike, of course, kept taking pictures. :)

And everyone was 100% all good in the end. :) He was absolutely apologetic about it, but truthfully, it really cracked me UP.

Strange how my ShootSac seems to be a magnet for beer. Later in the summer, I was shooting a wedding w/ my friend Jeff in Lawrence and the SUV limo .... let's just say the wedding party's beer was not secured and it went flying all over the interior, including my camera bag.

I better wash that thing out before our weddings in a few weeks. ;)

Working....

preparing Shauna and James' wedding images ... but didn't want to go too long without a blog post.

Here's a photo of my Shootsac during Easter .... nothing earth-shattering, but I like the look of it on the Sheldon's mantle. :-) AND I didn't get around to blogging it earlier...

Just a pretty photo of the Baroque cover of my Shoot Sac.

Photographed at the Sheldon's house over Easter.

Fashionable Camera Bag — Shoot Sac!

I've had a *few* camera bags in my life. Easily, I can think of a half a dozen I've had .... but once Mike and I entered weddings hard core, my hip pouch I used in the world of photojournalism (at newspapers) just didn't seem sophistocated enough. Besides, it was bulky and I was always bumping into people with it!

BUT last year for my birthday, I impulsively purchased a Shoot Sac. It's MUCH lighter than my former bag, and much more sleek looking, ESPECIALLY with the awesome Baroque cover Robin and Paul gave me for Christmas.

Anyhow, I'm a visual person (NOT a surprise), and whenever I troll through the Shoot Sac blog, I don't really get very excited about the new covers from the swatches. I think it's mostly because I see a small portion of the facbric and don't see how awesome it will look as an entire cover. Case in point: When I saw the following swatch, I didn't think much of any of the new fabrics. (OK, maybe I like the second one on the top row and last one on the middle row a *little*)

BUT when I saw this cover on the Shoot Sac Blog, I fell in LOVE!

BUT it was followed by the bad news ...

And Jessica says it's gone forever. :-(

Sad, sad, sad.

ESPECIALLY since it will look AWESOME with my wedding dress in September! (I have two words for those of you who thought I'd be sans camera when Erik and I get married: YEAH RIGHT!)

Oh well .... Jessica Claire is releasing a brand spankin' new blog, and is supposed to be having some killer Shoot Sac sales, so maybe they'll bring back my new favorite cover!

(Hint: if you're looking for a good gift for me, slide over to the Shoot Sac Web site ... almost any cover will do! They also have gift certificates!)

On Anne Ruthmann's blog!

YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I made it on to Anne Ruthmann's blog. I'm a winner! ;-) (Hi, Anne! Because I know our cyber ninjas have told you I linked to you on my blog!)

And check out how awesome my Shoot Sac looks!!!! My sister, Robin, and brother, Paul, got me the awesome Baroque cover for Christmas and I LOVE it!!!! (Hint: if you're looking for a good gift for me, slide over to the Shoot Sac Web site ... almost any cover will do! They also have gift certificates!)

Now that I've made an appearance on Anne's blog, I believe my life is quite complete. Shucks, I should have had that as a goal for 101 in 1001. Hmm.....
