My favorite author EVER is Bill Peet. Seriously. I *heart* Bill Peet.
He's probably one of the first authors I remember, so I was THRILLED to see an exhibit in Chicago when I was there.
Getting to see the sketches and book pages with the editing marks totally ROCKED!
And the exhibit was so informative ... I never knew he was a Disney artist!

I don't think I've ever heard of Bill Peet or any of his books, but now I want some! Maybe the kiddos and I will venture to the library later today :) The page with his book list is so cute - when you scroll your mouse over the books the cover changes to a different picture!
