Reception!
Gotta love a beautiful cake table backdrop. :)
The traditional guys sing to the bride. :)
Big smile. :)
And a smitten groom. :)
I don't know what my brother in law (far right) was doing. Strange.
Grooving.
More of Heath's move-busting.
Fr. Nick being his jovial self. :)
And Fr. Drew ... well, I'm not sure what exactly he's doing. ;)

Friends at the wedding!
With Miss Allison and Nathan. How I miss teaching CCD with Allison! :)
My hottie hubby shaved off his goat for our anniversary a few weeks ago. AND he kept it up through Kristine + Heath's wedding. Doesn't he look HOT AND YOUNG?!?!?!???
Miss Susie, MRS Kristine and ME! :)
Fr. Drew and "the ladies." HA! Ok, so I haven't seen/spoken with Fadda since he officiated at our wedding more than a year ago. Good to see him again, though!
Showing off our bling-bling. Married women, bye bye singleton life!

Wife Wessons II
Wife Wesson No. 2 .... never stop learning!
Remember when I was surprised at how much my husband loves UNO? I was utterly surprised at how much a grown man can enjoy UNO. Anyhow, I remember being totally surprised. We'd been dating for more than a year and married for months, how could I NOT know he is an UNO fanatic?
Well, I remember my mom being stunned by learning about my dad. Her lesson? He didn't like moo goo gai pan. Yup, basic Chinese dish. Mom almost always ordered it when we were younger. And we'd generally split a large order of it as a family. Well, I must have been in middle or high school when mom learned dad doesn't really like moo goo gai pan. She was pretty stunned. They'd been eating it for probably a dozen or more years without her knowing this.
So, last night, Erik gave me a grocery list to make his famous chili. :) And baby carrots were on the list.

Baby carrots?
What do those have to do with chili, I asked after I got back from the store.
"They make the perfect pre-chili snack," Erik said matter-of-factly.
Oh.
Wesson Wearned? You never stop learning about someone. Not that I ever pretended to know everything about the man I married ... it's actually kinda nice to learn something new every once in awhile. :)
So .... you old married folks, what are YOU still learning about your spouse?

Wedding from my point + shoot
So, this was my second appearance in a wedding as a bridesmaid.
I couldn't leave all cameras AT home ... so I took the trusty point + shoot. :)

Bride.

Flower girl up to no good.

Future dazed + confused groom. ;)

Miss Susie with her praying hands salt + pepper shakers.

Gotta love colorful flowers!

OK, so my Chuck Taylors ... I wanted to have some good dancing shoes. And boy did I get COMMENTS about those bad boys. Crazy times!
I am such a dope when it comes to names and the like .... so I started calling them Chuck Norris shoes. And then once Erik pointed out I'm a dope, I started calling them Kenny Chesneys just to be jovial. ;)

# 47 — Floss my teeth every day for a month
.... CHEEEEECK!
I was blessed with REALLY good teeth. And when I was first taught how to floss, I actually lost a tooth in the process. So let's just say I was scarred. So now ... flossing just isn't a priority. But thanks to the trusty 101 list, it got taken care of.
Oh ... aaaaaaaand we got o the dentist in a few weeks. Last time,my picture was taken to be on the cavity-free wall. I'll be the oldest person with a photo on that wall, and if I show up and it isn't on the wall, I just might cry!

Wedding break!
About a month ago, I stopped in a local antique store on a whim. Weeeeell, I found a plethora of old-fashioned hats, which I knew my friend, Miss Susie, would enjoy immensely. :)
So after our bridal party pix for Mrs. Kristine's wedding, we headed to the antique store for some fun of our own! :)

The netting is kinda fun!

Yeah, fun. :)

And MORE fun!

DOUBLE TROUBLE!!!!

Check it out from the top!

And from the front.

This is what we ended up selecting. Miss Susie took all the photos of me, so if I'm lucky and she sends me some, I'll post 'em here. :)

Of course, we opted to show them to the bride ... and they were good for a laugh! ;)

My Secret Addiction
We all have secret addictions. Secret behaviors. Secret things we just can't get enough of.
Here are mine:

Yup. Chinese fortune cookie fortunes.

This addiction started in my teen years. I think it was because they were the exact width to put around my bulletin board. It was a tiny little thing. And I kept on keeping 'em.

But really, who doesn't need a little pick-me-up every once in awhile? Right? Just a little something to make you smile.
