Crossover

Well, I was in Wichita last week, shooting an engagement session and have had other sessions hanging around, too.

There's also a senior I photographed a few weeks ago.

Yes, fall is definitely here.

Sup, kid?

We had a lot of family in a few weeks ago for the Heartland open house.

Look who was excited to see me after it was all said and done?

The best part about him? He doesn't submissively pee on the floor. ;) (a la our dog)

I was in Wichita the last two days doing portrait sessions, and hung w/ Theodore a bit. Poor kid is working on ear infection #2 in the space of a month. So, safe to say, he wasn't as smiley when I saw him yesterday.

I'm not being neglectful ...

Things are just kinda busy around here. Lots of photographic stuff going on, and then when I'm not up to my ears in photos, I'm trying to spend some time with Erik. So please pardon my sparse posting. OK? :)

The dates are in!!!!!

Alrighty!

We opened snow dates yesterday, and here's the 2011 rundown:

Karen: Now - Nov. 10 at Noon
Paul: Nov. 10 at Noon - Nov. 10 at Midnight
Robin: Nov. 11 - Nov. 16
Grandpa Benny: Nov. 17 - Nov. 23
Carl: Nov. 14 - Nov. 29 at Noon
Wayne: Nov. 29 at Noon - Dec. 6 at Noon
Erik: Dec. 6 at Noon - Dec. 12 at Noon
Chris: Dec. 12 at Noon - Dec. 16 at Noon
Kathy: Dec. 16 at Noon - next year

For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, you can read a bit about the contest HERE.

I gotta say, my dates are early ... after this hot summer, it's a bit of a risk. But we'll see. I really like Erik's dates. I think he has a really good shot. This year, everyone (except for poor Paul) has a really good spread of dates ... so let the games begin! Or, more clearly, let the SNOW START FALLING!!! :)

And in an effort to have a more neutral source for the weather/snow, Dad tromped around to the TV stations and tried to talk to meteorologists; all of whom wouldn't even see him. Even if he'd wait. Nope, they didn't want any part of this madness. He finally found a sympathetic ear at the airport, and they have some sort of hour by hour observation of the weather ... so this seems to be a good solution, because there is ALWAYS arguing & bickering about if it snowed or not.

Imagine that. ;)

Crossover — Odds & Ends

Well, it's that time of year again. It starts to get CRAZY around here!

First, let me invite everyone to our Heartland Photography Open House this Sunday in Salina. :)

This is come and go, so if you have small kids who won't want to hang out for more than 20-30 minutes, there are ample other things to do if you come up this way .... you could go to Rolling Hills, go check out Lindsborg, go to the Cozy Inn (but eat OUTSIDE, don't go inside).

Things have been full around here, and we're completely blessed to be booking like crazy for 2012 weddings. I know, next summer feels like eons away, but I'm already putting items on my calendar. And am thankful to be doing so!

As of late, I've been up to:

Alex & Seth's Engagement Session

Molly's Senior Portraits

Cindy & Patrick's Family

Kim & Tim's Engagement
